Working of Invisalign

An expert orthodontist must be consulted for availing this treatment to lead the precise results may not come. The orthodontist will prepare a computerized imaging of the teeth of the patient in order to craft the customized Invisalign Invisible Braces. The three-dimensional imaging of the teeth and jaw-shape of the patient help in determining the suitable size and shape of the invisible aligners. In fact, a series of clear aligners are crafted because each of the successful aligner uses tender pressure for moving the teeth towards their correct placement. Typically, every individual case calls for specific number of Invisalign braces in its series, still on average 18-30 Invisalign trays are utilized for a typical misalignment of teeth. Each set of Invisalign Invisible Braces are easily removable and have to be worn for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, the consecutive set of aligner is used. This procedure is conducted gradually until the teeth get pushed back to their suitable position.

This keeps the braces clean and greatly reduces the chances of their staining and stinking. Plus, there are almost no restrictions for food or drinks as prescribed in the cases of patients using metallic braces. The invisible braces can be easily removed while eating any kind of sweet or sticky food items.

Undoubtly, the invisible braces are an indication of a massive revolution that has taken the stream of orthodontics by storm. Patients now can happily say bye-bye to metallic braces and welcome the Invisalign Invisible Braces.

Invisalign Vs Braces – Why Invisalign Is The Perfect Choice For Adult Orthodontic Patients

Invisalign braces are perfect for adult wearers looking for a solution that integrates easily into their everyday lives. Whereas traditional metal braces are fine for teenagers or those for what the aesthetic aspects of braces are not so important, for many adults metal braces are simply not practical.

Clear braces such as Invisalign, however, resolve many of the issues with metal braces. Firstly, as they are manufactured from a transparent medical plastic which is molded perfectly to the shape of the wearer's teeth they are essentially undetectable once they are in the patient's mouth. This means that there is little to no social embarrassment with wearing them, a patient can continue with their everyday life, wearing them to work and for leisure without anyone being any the wiser.

The second great advantage that Invisalign has over other forms of orthodontics is that they are completely removable. This is something that many adults really appreciate. The patient removes the braces for eating, drinking anything other than water, and for any important social occasions. This means that social events such as weddings, a first date or an important work presentation can be done braces free.

One of the most appealing things about Invisalign is that unlike traditional metal braces Invisalign are pain free. Whilst the wearer may experience some minor pressure on their teeth as they are moved, there is no pain or rubbing as experienced with other forms of orthodontics. There are two primary reasons for this. Firstly, there are no sharp edges. Invisalign are formed by molding the patients teeth and then creating an aligner from this mold. The plastic that is used is smooth, with no rough edges, which means that the tongue and cheeks have no sharp edges to rub against. Secondly, if the patients does experience roughness or chafing from any Invisalign surface it can be gently rubbed with a nail file until the surface becomes smooth. This lack of discomfort is exceptionally appealing to adult patients who are not prepared to put up with using waxes or other methods to prevent pain and discomfort.

When Invisalign were first released they were really only suitable for minor orthodontic issues. This has been changed significantly as the product and techniques have improved so that almost any orthodontic issue that does not include surgery can now be resolved using Invisalign. This flexibility, and the other advantages indicated above, means that Invisalign are perfectly suited for use by adult patients.

How to Get That Perfect Smile – Tooth Bonding

It's one of the first things people see when they look at us: our smile. A bright, straight, perfect (or near to) smile is the ultimate accessory to make you look your best, and make people notice you. Unfortunately, very few of us are born with perfect teeth. In fact, the majority of people have at least small flaws among them their chompers that make them feel inclined to smile less. Cosmetic tooth bonding is an affordable and quick way to make your smile shine. In just a couple of hours your smile can go from "just okay" to radiant.

What is Bonding?
Tooth bonding is done by cosmetic dentists and is a very routine procedure that requires no anesthesia (except the bonding is being used as a filling on an affected tooth.) It is usually completed within one visit to the dentist's office and is a fairly inexpensive cosmetic treatment for people who need a little smile boost.

Bonding is used to correct small defects in teeth such as: chips, gaps, uneven surfaces, etc. It is not recommended for large flaws or for the often talked about "smile makeover". Porcelain veneers are recommended for more intensive cosmetic work.

The Bonding Process
The process is painless; first a tooth is etched, or roughened, with a chemical compound. Then a bonding agent is applied to the tooth. Finally, the bonding resin is applied, artfully shaped by your cosmetic dentist and then hardened with a special ultraviolet light.

The resin used is somewhat like putty and comes in a variety of colors to match the color of your tooth or teeth. Bonding lasts for about 10 years before it has to be replaced and is much less expensive than crowns or other dental procedures that are used to correct similar problems.

Who Should Use Bonding?
Bonding is often highly recommended by cosmetic and family dentists because it can be used on children as well, to correct uneven colors and edges on teeth, as well as fill small chips that may occur in sports or physical activity. It is also the procedure that takes the least amount of enamel off of the teeth to put into place, which is important for both adults and children.

Disadvantages of Bonding
There are some disadvantages with tooth bonding, however. The resin used in bonding stains easily and sometimes has to be replaced because of discoloration. People who smoke heavily may not be the best candidates for the process. Also, it is not a recommended practice for a complete overhaul as it would be too time consuming and would not last as long as other porcelain veneers, crowns or other options.

Tooth bonding may not be for everyone, but it is a fantastic choice for minor tooth issues and for those of us that can not wait to flash those new and improved, straight, smooth pearly whites.
